IT大手のヤフーは今日から東京・渋谷区にある食料品や日用品などを扱う自社の店舗で顔認証を使った決済システムの実験的な運用を始めました。

利用者はスマートフォンで顔写真を事前に登録し、キャッシュレス決済サービスとひも付けると、顔認証で買い物ができるようになります。

 利用者がレジで商品のバーコードの読み取りを行ったうえで、顔認証の装置に顔をかざすと、事前に登録された顔写真と自動で照合し、直ちに決済が完了します。

 When the user scans the barcode of the product at the cash register and holds his/her face over the facial recognition device, it is automatically compared with the pre-registered face photo, and the payment is completed immediately.
